Sauk Prairie High School has two courses that primarily take care of the greenhouse and landscaping on the school grounds. These courses are the Horticulture & Greenhouse Management and Landscape & Golf Course Design class takes care of. Students in the 8th grade Agri-Leadership and High School Introduction to Animal & Plant Care classes also provide assistance when needed in these spaces.

Our greenhouse was built with the help of the FFA Alumni in 2005. This facility gives students the opportunity to work in a space that is common to what is used in the Horticultural Industry. Students take an active role in calculating water usage, establishing fertilizing protocols, monitor plant health and pest populations. Students also promote and operate the greenhouse as a business and hold a sale each May. Proceeds from the sale stay in a separate fund to help with maintenance of the facility.
